Magazine

During the spring of 2023, I aimed to create a thought-provoking magazine that would build conversations among our young college community. The work titled, "Perception versus Being Perceived as a Woman",  portrays the distinct differences between the way a woman views themself and the way they are viewed through objectification and patriarchal systems. Through the course of four months, I was able to get in contact with fellow passionate women to model for the following five categories: Gender Roles, Stereotypes, Hyper-sexualization, Hyper-fixation of Women's Bodies, and Judgment. Although challenging my craft for Adobe Photoshop met many late nights of troubleshooting, consistent research about the software tools advised my work step by step. At the end of the semester, I was able to produce a compilation of eye-catching visuals that led fellow students to question opinions of their own and their neighbor's.
